In de serie Tinctuur van dromen onderzoekt Tamar Rozenblat hoe de kracht van planten verbeeld kan worden. Ze probeert niet de plant zelf te schilderen, maar iets dat moeilijker te grijpen is: de droom, de energie, misschien zelfs de genezende werking die een plant in zich draagt. In Inner Mirror II vloeien kleuren en abstracte vormen in elkaar over, alsof het werk ademt. Het lijkt een binnenwereld te tonen, een spiegeling van iets dat in de natuur, en in onszelf, leeft en beweegt.

Rozenblat zegt zelf dat haar werk draait om de kracht en schoonheid van de natuur, zowel om ons heen als in ons eigen lichaam en bewustzijn. “Het mooiste zou zijn als de kunst ons een aanreiking geeft om ons weer te leren verbinden met de zichtbare en onzichtbare natuur.” In haar schilderijen wordt die verbinding tastbaar, als een zachte uitnodiging om even stil te staan en te luisteren.

In her Tincture of Dreams series Tamar Rozenblat explores ways to depict the power of plants. Rather than simply paint the plant she tries to capture something far more elusive: the dream, the energy, maybe even the plant’s healing qualities. In Inner Mirror II the colours and abstract forms flow into each other, as if the work itself were breathing. It seems to show an inner world, a reflection of something that lives and moves in nature, and in ourselves.

Rozenblat explains that her work is about the power and beauty of nature, the natural world around us and in our own mind and body. ‘Most beautiful of all would be if art could reach out to us and reconnect us both to the nature we see and don’t see.’ That connection is clearly discernible in her paintings, encouraging us to stand still for a while and listen.
